How CRF can help

A complete bathroom service

Danny handles the practical stages of your bathroom renovation, from removing the old suite and preparing surfaces to fitting, tiling and finishing. It is a straightforward service for homeowners who want clear communication and consistent workmanship without coordinating several separate trades.

Good fit: Best suited to full bathroom refits, shower room updates and practical improvements in houses and flats.

Typical work includes

  • Bathroom suite removal and replacement
  • Shower, bath, basin and toilet fitting
  • Wall and floor tiling
  • Storage, flooring and finishing details

The stages of a bathroom renovation

Every bathroom is different, but the work follows the same order, and knowing it helps you plan how long the room will be out of use.

  • Strip-out: the old suite, tiles and boxing come out and waste is removed
  • First fix: pipework and waste positions are set for the new layout
  • Boarding: walls and floor are prepared, with backer board and tanking in wet areas
  • Tiling: walls and floor are tiled, grouted and left to set
  • Second fix: the toilet, basin, bath or shower, taps and accessories go in
  • Final check: everything is tested, sealed and walked through with you

New bathroom, refit or remodel?

The words overlap, but the work does not. A refit keeps the layout and replaces the suite, tiles and floor. A remodel moves things around, such as turning the toilet, moving the basin or swapping the bath for a shower, which means new pipe and waste runs. A full renovation can include both, plus replacing the bathroom floor where old boards have softened under a leaking bath or toilet.

Being clear about which you want helps the quotation. Send photos of the room as it is, a note of what you would like to change and anything that already bothers you, such as a bouncy floor or a shower that drains slowly, and Danny will explain which stages the job needs.

Bathroom renovation prices

On this site's pricing, a straight swap in the same layout is 4,000 to 5,500 pounds, a full refit with a better finish 5,500 to 7,000 pounds, and a layout change or walk in shower 7,000 to 9,000 pounds. What moves a room between those bands is explained in the guides below, and every job gets a written quotation before work starts.

Bathroom fitters across Kent, one tradesman at a time

Searching for bathroom fitters near me usually brings up firms with several teams. CRF Services Ltd is different: Danny Morrison is based in Rochester ME3 and fits one bathroom at a time, across Medway and out to Maidstone and Tonbridge. That means fewer jobs on the go, but the person who measured your room is the one who strips it out, boards it, tiles it and hands it back to you.

Shower rooms and cloakrooms too

The same service covers full bathrooms, shower rooms and downstairs cloakrooms. Smaller rooms still go through every stage, only with less tiling and fewer fittings. Specialist work such as new electrical circuits is explained at quotation stage and arranged with the right trade.

Common questions

Bathroom Renovations questions answered

Most compact bathroom refits in Medway land somewhere between roughly 4,000 and 8,000 pounds including labour, depending on the suite, tiling area and how much needs replacing behind the walls.

A straightforward refit usually runs one to two weeks. The timescale is agreed in the quotation so you can plan around the days the room is unusable.

Yes. You can buy the suite, tiles and fittings yourself, or talk options through with Danny before ordering so nothing arrives that will not fit the room.

Walk-in showers and level shower areas are regular work. Suitability depends on floor build-up and drainage, which is checked at the quotation visit.

Yes. Removal and disposal of the old suite is priced into the job so you are not left with a skip problem at the end.

Yes. Landlords across Medway use the service for shower room and bathroom replacements between tenancies, where a fixed scope and clear dates matter.

On this site's pricing, a straight swap is 4,000 to 5,500 pounds, a full refit 5,500 to 7,000 pounds and a layout change or walk in shower 7,000 to 9,000 pounds.

Mainly the tiling area, the condition of the walls and floor, whether any fitting moves and whether electrical or ventilation work is needed.

Decide on bath or shower, tiling height, floor finish, who supplies the suite, any fitting that moves, ventilation and where you will wash while the room is out of use.
